Night of the deuces...
This weekend I played live poker for the very first time and I really enjoyed it.
I went to the Holland Casino Valkenburg and played a 10$ SNG, the structure really sucked with the blinds climbing each 5 minutes.
Why this structure?
- Only one SNG table available, besides one 2/4 Limit table, a 5/10 Limit table and a 2/4 NL table
- Too many people interested in these SNG's, so they've got to run very fast
- No entry-fees for these SNG
So I rather like to pay a entry-fee instead of playing such crappy blind-structure, I hope that in the near future they'll provide us with some decent structure.
About the outcome of the SNG, I really didn't get any playable hand...until I'm on the BB with 22, blinds 100/200 and stack 800, it's folded to the aggressive SB who raises to 400.
He noticed that I didn't play any hand, so I suppose he raises me with any hand...so I push he calls and shows AQ, My deuces hold and I double up.
Blinds go up 200/400...and I find KK, I push in MP...guy with SAME stack calls with A2 offuit...WTF? Flop brings a 2, river 2 and this SNG is over for me.
I really enjoyed playing Live and I think they'll see me more in Holland Casino.
Online I played pretty bad the last couple of days, making idiot moves etc.so my upswing ended with a 3 buy-in loss... no bad beats at all only very bad playing!!
So I've to pick up my A-game again and try to make as little mistakes as possible :-)
Have a nice week...
