Enjoy life...

This weekend I went to a soccergame (lower division), this was the last game of the season between the number 1 & 2 of the league.
This game would determine the champion of this season.
So the little stadium was sold out, it was 30 degree and I think the whole city was there.
I was just fantastic...drinking some beers with friends, the kids fooling around, the wives having some nice conversations, etc.

Then I met an old friend, this guy was really a fantastic guy, always making jokes, enjoying life...and now?
He even didn't recognized me, a few months ago he had a terrible car-accident...really terrible.
Nobody actually believed that he would survive this crash, but he did...
So no he has some brain damage...these are the moments that make you think "Look how lucky I am...". I just wanted to say "Enjoy your lives!!!"

Lets talk poker. Last week I played 2.5K hands on the 25NL SH tables and this with a 9PTBB, so I'm pretty happy with this. Then I moved up in Full-ring games, I'm playing 50NL on Bodog, played 1K hands with 7PTBB.
So for next month I'm hoping to play another 10K hands on the 25NL SH tables and 5K hands on the 50NL FR tables.
At the end of next month I will analyze my results and I will decide if I'm able to make the move to the 50NL SH tables.

After analyzing this hand, I realize that I made a very bad lay-down. He calls my flop and turn bet ... with an AK on the board...would he call these bets with AcJc or JJ???? These are the only hands I'm worrying about when he shoves...

This is really going nowhere...on a stretch of 12.5K hands I made about...let's think...0$. Some really bad plays and some beats. It seems that I just miss the 'luck' that you sometimes need in poker to be very succesfull. I don't mean that poker is just about 'luck' but sometimes you just need it to win.

So it's really frustrating on this moment.

Maybe I better move to the 50NL tabels...I've got a BR of > 30 buy-ins. On these 25NL I'm really getting the feeling that I'm wasting time and my game isn't improving.

For the month of March I gathered following stats on the 25NL SH tables.

Total hands: 8300
BB/100 Hands: +2.60

The BB/100 is much too low, I think that a >5.00 BB/100 is really possible. Next month I'll try to play another 10K hands on these tables and hopefully my BB/100 will be positive & much higher.

This month I also bought a few new Cardrunners video's, I must admit that these are pretty impressive. Especially the 'Brystmar' SH series on the 50NL SH are really interesting for new players.

Finally I want to congratulate Luxy with his great result at the Monte Carlo EPT! Great result and keep these coming!
